Three companies in the Newport and Gwent area are among six in Wales to receive a Queen's Awards for Enterprise for their contribution to international trade and innovation.
The awards are now in their 51st year with a total of 176 businesses winning in 2017.
Among the Welsh winners is Newport-based SPTS Technologies Group, which won in the international trade category.
The company makes and supplies products used to process semiconductor wafers for manufacture of semiconductor and micro-electronic devices. It has won for outstanding short term growth in overseas sales, with an increase of more than 70 per cent over the last three years.
Kevin Crofton, president of SPTS Technologies and corporate vice president at parent company Orbotech, said: "This award belongs to the entire organisation – from those involved in the development and manufacture of our industry leading wafer processing solutions to our team outside the UK who sell, install and support our products and customers.
"Our customers are many of the leading device manufacturers in the microelectronics industry, who rely on us day in and day out to perform and help them be successful. Our growth is a testament to the quality and competitiveness of UK-developed technologies and products in the global markets."
